5th Ottawa Electric Fun Fly

June 12-13 2004

We had 39 registered pilots and many visitors over the weekend at the Rideau Flyers field, with most of the attendance on Saturday. The activities were mostly free flying, with some friendly competitions as listed below the pictures. MAAC medals were awarded to the top 3 positions in each event.

Many thanks to our sponsors who donated draw prizes:

Special Notes:
- Praise for Etienne for doing so well with a high wing trainer type airplane.
- Praise also for Bob for doing so well with an Old Timer type converted wakefield.
- Closest to the landing spot Graham at 1/2 pace.
- Jeff used his electric mini Playboy when his Hi-Tech F5J plane was having some radio problems.
- Praise also for Doug, a relatively new flyer to electric sailplanes and his new Ascent for giving this a try
- Paul Penna, the gracious gentleman that he is, for passing on turning in an official flight because of a frequency conflict and other traffic
- Also for Pierre, our CD, for passing up on flying so that others might have an oppourtunity to do so.
