My name is Rebecca Anne Carter. I am of the Fightn' Texas Aggie Class of 2009. I currently live in Bryan, Texas with my mother and our animals.
I was born in Oak Cliff, Texas which is in the southern part of Dallas. I lived there through pre-kindergarten and then moved to Midlothian where I complete my kindergarten year before moving to College Station. While in College Station my mom attended and graduated from the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine. She then bought a small one doctor veterinary practice in Waxahachie, Texas. I lived in Waxahachie for fifth grade through eighth grade before moving back to College Station to go to high school and live with my grandmother. I started off my college career at Blinn College in Bryan before transferring to Texas A&M University.
I am currently student teaching at the Tom Moore High School in Ingram, Texas. My cooperating teachers are Don Harris, Scott Fields, and Noel Stacey. I am teaching Equine Science, DC Prep, Life Skills, Range Management and two sections of 102 Applied Ag. I am also coaching the Marketing Plan CDE team.
In my free time, I love to read novels and spend time with my animals. I have two dogs and one cat. Josie is Lab/Australian Sheppard mix and Ned is a wirehair dachshund. My cat's name is Baby. I also spend time riding my mother's horses.
I am also interested in photography and writing. Some day, I plan to write a book about all the things our mothers say to us that are either things you never wanted to know or are so random you didn't believe your mother even thought like that. I love to travel to different places around the world. I have been very fortunate because since my senior year of high school I have been able to take at least one major trip each year. This past October, I had the opportunity to tag along with my mother as she went to Portland, Oregon for a symposium.
