Cable Point. He explains his influences as they relate to his techniques. Monet and the impressionist movement have had a great impact on Ricardo's way of painting. In 1996 Ricardo relocated from the Bahamas to live in France, the region of Normandy, to walk in the footsteps at Giverny, smell the fresh air and touch the art in the gardens of the great French Impressionists. He is at home in this new environment, and encouraged by native French people in the area to continue his painters' dream, as a Caribbean artist away from home. After moving from the Bahamas, Ricardo has been successful in selling his paintings to international collectors in England, Japan, U.S.A., Switzerland and France.
