Comments - My whole objective was to build an airboat as quick and cheaply as possible using as many things from my shop as possible. The only thing I bought was the boogie board for $19.95. If I had done some more research before I started I might have made the motor mount with the traditional metal landing gear style, but all these scraps seemed to fit together almost like magic. Excess weight is the price. The plastic rudder broke in the car and I changed it to aluminum. The boogie board foam is quite rough on the bottom so I sheeted it with a piece of slick painted aluminum.
