Certain sounds
occur uniquely in certain languages. It
is the same for English. There are some
sounds that many students have difficulty with and they are the th sounds. Many people substitute these sounds by other
sounds which are found in their languages.
The trick to
producing both th sounds correctly is the
following :
1.) th (thin) - the tip of your tongue must show and air
must pass between your teeth. There is no vibration in your throat.
2.) th (the) - the tip of your tongue must show, but
little or no air passes between your teeth. There is a vibration in your
throat.
