Who would have thought the last season of professional roller hockey
would be...
- The Summer of 1998 for MLRH?
- The Summer of 1999 for RHI?
- The Summer of 2000 for PBH?
Doesn't anyone want to see the professional roller hockey game succeed?
Yes! The thousands of fans who have paid their hard earned dollars to
watch the pros play do. The thousands of fans who play the game at home
in their local neighborhood streets do. The thousands of families who
go together to the local arenas to watch the games do.
What about the sponsors and the equipment suppliers?
What about them? The sponsors and the equipment suppliers have supported
the professional game clearly less than 100 percent. They are in it for
the money made by selling product to the consumer. If there is not a near
immediate return on their investment, out of the game they go. Do they
care about the come lately fan?
What about the media?
What about them? This group may have done the biggest disservice to
the professional game by not printing stories or promoting of the games
played by the local professional teams. If there are not enough fans
in attendance, why should they waste news print on the games? It is a
common theme. Do they care about the come lately fan?
THEY may not but WE do care about the professional roller hockey game.
We care because we have lived, played or watched the pro game. And,
surprisingly, we enjoyed it. Yes, it is not our father's brand of hockey.
It is our game.
Please return as we are preparing to drop the puck on a new game. An old
game, with a new twist, is returning. Professional Roller Hockey will be
back.
Correction. Professional Roller Hockey is back. It IS the Roller
Hockey Fantasy League.
Are you ready?
