| A weekend of PT motoring fun for Chyrsler PT Cruisers and Prowlers (only retro) in San Antonio,Texas: home of the Alamo. |
| FRIDAY October11 starts with registration at the Best Western Sunset Station (Host Hotel) then we cruise to three (3) of San Antonio's Friday night car hang outs. This is a self guided cruise (map provided) to the Pig Stand, Bun N' Barrel, or Harpers Burers & Brew. The food is good at each hangout, try some of San Antonio's "old time" drive-in restaurants. Get 1st card of "Poker Run". |
| SATURDAY October 12, 2002 we start off with a "full day" (and night) of PT cruising with the Hill Country Fun Rally. Drivers & navigators will receive route instructions to the "PT" Cruiser rally thru the scenic hill country. This is a leisurely drive with time to stop and time for lunch in the hill country or dine on German food in New Braunfels. After a few hours of free time it's off to the races! We will cruise south to San Antonio Speedway to be part of the opening ceremonies parade lap. After the parade lap those wishing to view the ROMCO Super Series Late Model races can purchase discount tickets to the races at "Cruise the Alamo" registration. For anyone wishing to participate in an old fashion drag race we have a "dial in" bracket race format set up for registered PT Cruisers: $10 each for driver and crew with $10 car load to watch the drag races. If you are not a race fan feel free to go downtown: check out a river side restaurant, or ??? Get Poker Cards 2 & 3. |
| SUNDAY Oct 13 starts with an optional cruise map to some of San Antonio's old missions (San Jose, Concepcion, the Alamo). Receive a map for self guided tour (approx 1 1/2 hours) The "Cruise the Alamo" weekend culminates with the PT Cruiser and Prowler Car Show at TBA. The Awards presentation will start promptly at 2 PM with awards for 7 catagories of PT Cruisers. Get 4th Card of Poker Run. |
| Plan to have plenty of seat time at the "Cruise the Alamo" weekend. Full Registration will include an dash plaque and a goody bag plus PT memories to go home with (till next year). Bring your Camera!!!! |
| A portion of the event proceeds will go to RESPITE CARE OF SAN ANTONIO, a non profit organization for children with developmental disabilities. |

The Host Hotel is the Best Western Sunset Station For Reservations Call 1-866-560-6000 or 1-210-223-4400 Just say that you are attending the "Cruise the Alamo" PT Cruiser Event The room rate is $92.00 for a king and $96.00 for a double (up to 4 people) The hotel has a free full breakfast buffet, free parking (security after 9 PM) and 1/3 mile from the downtown riverwalk and Alamo. A City "Trolley" runs next to the hotel. Also, the Red Roof Inn has a special rate of $59.00 (plus tax).
