| well... there it is. . . the mech box replacement plate... against a CD case so you can see the size. . . took me an hour and a half, a 130 degree dremel (yes, temperature), and about 15 cutoff wheels to make that sucker. . . and i still gotta drill and mount! |
| its 2mm aluminum sheetmetal... looks reasonable, eh? once ive got all my mounting stuff figured out ill probably make it look like a bubble wall by cutting holes in it... its a racing part. . . wait... im lazy... never mind. . . |
| after only two attemps and trimmings, it fits that well. . . its no production part, but hell, it was free (minus the cutoff wheels) and itll work a shitload better than that damn mech box AND stiffen up the front end... its a win-win deal... minus the cutoff wheels... and the aluminum shards in my eyes. . . oww... |
