Lada Peter Turbo
is one of the latest concept cars to come from Toliatty. For now desingned as just a plastic body without an interior or an engine, the car holds an interesting future for Lada. The creators of this car say that for the Paris International Motor Show Lada Piter Turbo will be shown with an actual original interior and running gear like an engine, suspension, transmission, etc. From the rear, the lights look modern and original, reminding me of luxurious yahts and the latest concepts from French and Italian exotic makes. Surprisingly, they still retain an original Russian look. This car is, I think a compact-midsize sedan, with rear suecide doors that are in style of many certain concept cars but probably will never see production. The engine bay could support various different motors, including an electric one. Some engines that Lada considers to put in is 1.5 litre 16-valve engine with 94 hp, and a new 1.6 litre 16-valve engine with 105 hp. which fits in well with foreign competitors of this class. Also Lada just might offer an actual Turbo to its engines. The chances are, that Lada will put in its own, and I think the only new transmission for front wheel drive cars, 5-speed manual from Lada 2110. Although I do remember that Lada has finally started to seriously test automatic transmissions, but so far never actually made one. Even though the car is called Piter Turbo I don't know if they will actually offer a Turbo option. The cars looks great, in my opinion, but will it become something more than just a concept, time will tell.
