Since FIAT-an Italian motor giant-owns a large portion of GAZ stocks, several FIAT vehicles will be bult at the GAZ plant. They include: the compact Palio Weekend (station wagon), Siena (hatchback version of Palio Weekend), and the midsize Marea. The Siena and thus Palio will be eqiuped with a standard 87 horsepower 8-valve 1.6 litre engine, and a more powerful 100 horsepower 1.6 litre, 16-valve engine. With a standard motor the car accelerates to 100 kp/h (62 mph) in about 11 seconds, but with a 100 h.p. the vehicle acclerates in about 10, depending on the condition of the roads.Pricetag of almost 10,000 US dollars.
