Day 2
September 22, 2000
The day after
surgery and Erin's face is still very swollen and red. Her face
swelled due to her head being lower than the rest of her body
during the 6 hour surgery and fluid built up. The redness is
caused from the tape that was used to keep her eyes closed AND
her rubbing them non-stop because the Morphine made them itch!

Friends Gina, Toni and Amanda skipped school and visited on Friday. Erin wasn't feeling too well, but managed a smile for the camera.

Aunt Val was at the hospital for Erin's surgery and visited everyday bringing lots and lots of sunshine!

Angel Bunny, named Easter Lilly, was a pre-operative
gift from Aunt Rozetta and Uncle Howard of Houston, Texas. Erin
asked for it in the recovery room and it never left her side
during her entire hospital stay. She was sure it brought her good
luck and faster healing powers!
