Greetings! My name is Xiaoyun Wang, and you can call me Lulu if you prefer. I really had no past experiences with making and publishing web pages, made this site from scratch, used what web skills I have and spent no money at all for it, so I am quite proud of myself. Since all the colors in the world are my favorite colors, I made up a COLORFUL theme for this place-- how do you like it? :) I am 15, and this place was created in the summer of 2002. I don't know how busy I am going to get, so there's no telling when this site will be updated! But you are always welcome to get back here to see if I have anything new. You can also drop me a little note at [email protected], or sign the guestbook.

When I was younger, I found gluing paper cubes (out of a cross of squares) quite amusing at times. Then one day I found a book about "geometrical solids" from a local library. After looking at the paper models in the book (each was glued together from many pieces of paper), I started trying to make them each from a single net (right now, four are available on my site). The work consists of calculations done on paper, followed by many afternoons spent with my posterboards, pencils, ruler, protractor (and sometimes a compass), scissors, and glue. In most cases, I achieved my goal; but I also found out that some models just can't be made with a single net. Oh well, enough discussion for now. Click here to see some of my paper models.

Back in the kindergarten years, I was terrible with drawing pictures; in fact, I used to hold up a pencil and wonder where to begin! Then Mom and Dad urged me to trace the pictures in coloring books -- and eventually I could draw on my own. By the time I started first grade, my pictures are fine, and suddenly drawing became enjoyable for me -- so the rest of the story fell into their places. Click here to see some of the recent pictures I've drawn.

Another hobby I discovered out of the blues -- it happened years later -- was making clothes for dolls! A friend gave me a doll as a present, and I grew to love it, so I decided to provide a wardrobe for it. Lucky for me, Mom was good at needle-crafts, so she taught me to cut, stitch, and knit some doll clothes -- and from that point on, I was on my own, thinking up designs and putting them into reality. Click here to see some of my little hand-made treasures.
