Those wonderful Wings! |

Like the wolf, bats too have a history plagued with supertition. Here are some fast facts for you: These gentile creatures are NOT blind, they are NOT rodents, and even Marge Simpson will never have to worry about getting a bat tangled up in her hair! A mother bat can pick out her own child among hundreds of others! Did you also know that bats nurse their young? Also, if it weren't for bats, the nocturnal insect population would explode! (You think we have too many misquitoes now???) The largest species of bat has a wingspan of 6ft and the smallest bat species weighs the same as a penny! WOW! |

I think as a summer project, Sean and I will attempt to build a bat house (hope the landlord doesn't mind!LOL) In my animal links and rings section you will find links to sites that offer info on how to make bat houses! I'll let you know how ours did this fall sometime! |

I can understand why people refer to the owl as being wise, give him a wand, and cloak and he looks just like a miniature wizard!! (hold your mouse over this pic to veiw the effect, but don't laugh too hard, I'm still learning how to use this Photoshop pro, I'll put a better pic in it's place as soon as I make one!) LOL |
