INTERVIEWER
What is your impression of Japan, now 16 years now since?
GRAHAM
Yes 16 years. It's great, I think things have changed a little bit. It seems to be more built up.The people are very nice and we are having a good time here as we did before.
INTERVIEWER
Eric?
ERIC
The same thing, yes. You seem to be building more and more. The trip from the airport was really astonishing, so many buildings going up - ski slopes and golf ranges. It's going to be full very soon.
GRAHAM
There's still a lot of traffic though.
ERIC

INTERVIEWER
So why did you re-organise 10cc?
GRAHAM
We had a very big hit record in the UK about 3 years ago called Changing Faces. It was the greatest hits of 10cc and Godley & Crème, and because of that - the success of that album, our record company said would we like to do another studio album and we did.
INTERVIEWER
Someone said when the original 10cc separated, Rol and Kevin ??? ??? ??? ??? and Graham and Eric improved 10cc sound ??? ???
GRAHAM
Well it changed because 2 people left but I think we carried on the spirit of 10cc and certainly some of our biggest selling records were made after Kevin and Lol left, but it did change.
ERIC
Actually, while Kev and Lol were in the band as well, most of the hit records were actually written by Graham and myself.
INTERVIEWER
So, Eric, how was the co-operation with Paul McCartney?
ERIC
It was good fun. I give him all the help he needs. No, it was great fun. We were old friends going way back to the '60's when I was in a Manchester band called the Mindbenders and we used to play at the Cavern. The Beatles used to play at the Cavern and I know him from then.
So we're good friends and he asked me to help out on the album
INTERVIEWER
So, in these 10 years, the rock music scene has very changed right?
GRAHAM
Yeah
INTERVIEWER
And someone say how rock music is going down river?
GRAHAM
Yes well there's so much techno' stuff and dance stuff. I think it's a shame really there aren't more new bands being allowed to come up through, because the record companies are going for the quick buck you know. They just want to make money really and I don’t think they spend enough time or money developing new artists, which is a shame.
INTERVIEWER
So what you think, Eric?
ERIC
I agree, yup. Record companies seem to be run by accountants now rather than music loving people. Certainly in the UK.
INTERVIEWER
So what do you want to do in the '90's music scene?
ERIC
The '90's. Have lots of success, like to write more hits, sell more records and visit more countries. We could play in Russia this year.
GRAHAM
Yes that would be nice. It's nice to be back on the road again and we really enjoy doing that.
