Andrew Gold very kindly took time out to answer
some questions via email for me. Here's what he wrote...

What’s in the pipeline from Andrew Gold at the moment?
Currently I am forming an all Byrds tribute band, with Jeff
Foskett of Brian Wilson's band. I also just finished a Christmas
album for the group America.

You performed earlier in the year with Graham in America.
Is there any chance of you doing the same over here in the UK?

Probably not. But we'd love to play together whenever possible.

Were you over here for Graham’s tour in April/May?
I'm afraid I missed it.

Would you ever reform Wax? (20 years next year, isn’t it?)
Well, we first formed a group in 1983...so, you're right!
Wow. Can't believe so much time has gone by. I don't know if
WAX will ever make a full on new record again, but if some record
company wanted us, I'm sure we could be talked into it...!

Is there any chance of Wax putting out a "Bikini 2 : The Sequel" at all?
For all intents and purposes, MOST of our rarities were used up
on the BIKINI album...so, the only way we could release another
is to a. put on boring stuff, or make pretend rarities...
so, not a good prognosis I'm afraid.

The songs/clips on Bikini sound as though you had a lot of fun.
You and Graham both seem to have a great sense of humour.
Was Wax a ‘serious’ band?

Well, we had our moments, but usually there was a lot of laughing.
We both enjoy a good joke and we both have a wicked sense of humour.

Do you have any amusing anecdotes with regards to ‘life with Graham’?
I do, but then there would be lawsuits and various forms
of revenge visited on my head, so best not reveal the dark
side...ha. There must be SOMETHING though...lets see...

OK, the best I can come up with is the time we were sitting in
Los Angeles, at a restaurant called CHAN DARA, which was one
of our fav Thai places...and we began talking about the old 10cc
days and about "Kev and Lol". I was facing away from the door,
and Graham was facing the front. While he's telling me about them
he looks up and says "Bloody HELL!!"

I look round and there are Kev and Lol....who happened to be in
the same city, and went for a curry and voila! Twilight Zone.
It was an amazing coincidence.
