The Parsonage Family...just hearing the name conjurs thoughts of goodness and love. And this is what The Parsonage Family is all about--spreading the love. And they've managed to accomplish this feat for almost twenty years now. They've toured Georgia and some of North Carolina, hitting the hot spots like Savannah, Highlands, Valdosta, Springfield, Columbus and more with hits such as "C'mon, Get to Church", "The Go Cup", "Dam Lights", and "Healing Sounds." In the summer of 2001, they began their layover in Kingsland, GA. The Parsonage Family continues to do well, with their sixth album to be released in May 2002. Learn more about the different members of TPF:
Jay--the patriarch of this mobile, singing, swinging family. He moonlights as a Methodist minister, and plays trumpet for the Family. He also drives the stylish, oversized U-Haul truck they drive around when they tour. It helps his already large cool factor, as does his new '72 Mercedes (called "The Roadster" by ML) he can be spotted driving around. His inspirations are God and Herb Alpert. He likes to build model airplanes and write in his spare time.
Anne--the second leader of the group/family. She plays piano and does back-up vocals. She sells jewelry on the side, which Anne, Liz, and Amanda model while they perform. She also does the much needed sewing for the numerous costumes the group wears while touring. In her spare time, Anne does her duties as Bishop of Babbling Brook. |
