A Kingdom of Loathing Clan

One of my wonderful clan members, Bitter Hawk, brought this idea to the clan and I would like to share some of her thoughts.
"A little background, to help you understand where the idea came from and why I came up with this project. My son was stationed in Iraq for a year, beginning with the war. It was very hard on me. I did what I could do to help make my son's service easier. My new son-in-law served with my son and has been redeployed to Iraq. Later I met a Marine in the chat who is stationed in Iraq. Very nice young man and I am sure he is the real deal. A couple of days later, I saw him looking for Smiles of Mr. A. and I thought it would be wonderful if we could get everyone in KoL to smile upon our KoL military persons."
These kind words have spawned the event: K.I.T.T.E.N.S.,  KoLers in Turbulent Times Extending Needed Support. Please note, this is not meant to be a statement of support for any war or military police action. This is meant to be a show of support to military personnel who are risking their lives. We want them to know we're thinking of them and appreciate the hard work they do every day.

This event will be a week long, starting on June 27th and ending on the 4th of July! If you run into a member of RSK, please send them the KoL names of anyone you know who is currently stationed away from home (at sea or on foreign soil - nationality does not matter), or any soldiers you know that have been wounded in battle and sent home.  We'll be compiling a list of names and are putting together care packages which will include various KoL items and buffs (especially smiles of Mr. A!).

Throughout the week RSK members will be holding military-themed trivia, antiraffles, and will be sharing fun and interesting military facts and web pages. At 12:00 PM EST on the 4th of July, our mascot RazorSharpKitten will be holding a massive 10-meat sale in /c trade.

CHANGE OF PLANS. Due to unforeseen events, there can no longer be 10-meat sales in the Kingdom of Loathing. Instead, we will be holding a 10-meat game in /c games. The inventory for the 10-meat game is up in RazorSharpKitten's store. On the 4th of July, all items will be removed from the store. At that point, everyone needs to start sending in 10-meat trade offers and items will be given out in alphabetical order. So, if the inventory has 2 aardvarks, 1 butterfly, and 2 children, the first two 10-meat trade offers will get the aardvarks, the third will get the butterfly, and the fourth and fifth will both get children. This will continue until the inventory is depleted! You can send in multiple 10-meat offers, but please, please do not spam them. Anyone who becomes too obnoxious will be baleeted.

All proceeds will go towards acquiring more items for our military personnel.

After the sale, join us in /c foodcourt and party hardy with the men and women in the military! When all is said and done, we will be posting our list of military names and partying out in chat!
