| 12/17/02 - Well, I always knew that I wanted to have kids, and it looks like I got my wish. I must admit, I was in a little bit of shock on Sunday night when Abi first took her pregnancy test. Then she took two more tests, and all were positive :-) I guess it never really hit me how happy this would make me until she brought me a baby bib to work after seeing the doctor on Monday :-) Everyone congratulated me, and I want to thank one and all for their congrats. We're still waiting to tell my parents & grandparents when we go down there at Christmas. | ||||||||||||
| 01/02/03 - So it's the new year!!! We were able to tell my parents about the baby just fine, and all went well. I believe we go to see the doctor again on January 24th or so, and we'll get to listen to the baby's heartbeat :-) I'll bet that'll be a strange feeling, knowing that we have created another life... | ||||||||||||
| 01/15/03 - Sorry I haven't written in a while. I'm not much for journals. Well, we got our hospital bill for the emergency room visit..wasn't too bad. We've also been re-aranging furniture to get ready for the nursery setup. Now we're looking around for all kinds of "Pooh" things to decorate the room with, which is the theme we decided to go with. I think we're also moving the rocker into the nursery too. P.S. Thanks for the rocker, Mom :-) I'll write again after we have listened to the baby's heartbeat on the 27th. | ||||||||||||
| 01/27/03 - Well, we weren't supposed to have a picture ultrasound today, but they decided to anyway. We were just supposed to listen to the heartbeat today, but they couldn't find it, so they did an ultrasound. It was awesome. We got to see the head, arms, legs, and they measured to see how long it was. The machine printed out to copies of the ultrasound photo, and I don't think they were going to give us one. However, we asked the nurse if we could have one of the pictures, since the machine had printed two copies :-) Abi and I are both at work right now, but as soon as we get home we'll scan the first ultrasound photo and post it on the "Pictures" page :-) | ||||||||||||
| 02/21/03 - Hi everyone, it's almost time for our next appointment and the doctor on the 27th. I'm really getting worried about Abi though. The doctor said yesterday that she has Strep Throat, and we had to pay $88 for the medicine even after insurance :-( According to walmart, it was $102 before insurance. But anyway, not to get too caught up in costs, I hope she gets to feeling better before the next appointment. We're still planning our Michigan trip in early April. Right now it looks like we'll be staying about 4 nights or so. | ||||||||||||
