YNOT CAREER PAGE
To be eligible to make the
career lists, you must have played in at least 20 games in one YNOT
year. Once you've become eligible, all years that you play are
calculated in your career totals.
The Total Standings page is the raw numbers
accumulated in YNOT play. The categories are fairly
straight-forward: Games played, wins, times in the starting
lineup (not counting wins), times on the bench, losses, total points
accumulated, personal high score and personal low score.
The Average Standings page has some
statistics that have been calculated from the raw numbers. The
definitions are as follows:
Average points--Total points
accumulated divided by number of games played.
Playing %--Total games played
divided by total games possible.
Winning %--Wins divided by
total games played
Starting Lineup %--(Wins plus
times in starting lineup) divided by total games played
Total Points %--Total points
accumulated divided by total points possible in the number of games
played.
Then there are the grooveone standings, both for hitting and pitching.
The idea and methodology behind taking the YNOT stats and relating them
to BA/HR/RBI and MVP and Cy Young voting was developed by grooveone on
the Braves Fanhome board. I modified it to fit the Cardinal
board. Here's how it works:
BA: Same as Total Points % above
HR: 1 point for every score between 16-25
2HR: 2 points for every score 26 and over
RBI: Total points
We also have EqHR, which is HR*3, and EqRBI (RBI/4) to approximate MLB
stats. These are not included in the rankings, just in the posts
on the related boards.
Wins: 1 point for every game won
Complete game: 2 points for every score 20-22
Shutout: 3 points for every score 23-26
No-hitter: 4 points for every score 27-29
Perfect game: 5 points for a 30 score
The Cy Young is the one with the most pitching points. The MVP is
determined by ranking the top 10 in each Triple Crown category and
assigning 10 points for first, 9 for second, etc.
Totals for 2002, 2003
(FH), 2003 (CC), 2004
(FH) and 2004 (CC) are on the board.

listings. Click on their name to get their YNOT card.
