SPLIT PRIORITIES FOR LEAGUE OWNER

Russellville, AR (AP)—This summer, something is coming besides baseball.

During this year’s Friends League Baseball draft, it was announced by Barney’s Bad Boys owner Matt Scott that he would become a father sometime after the All-Star Break.

“It looks like an August baby, and it’s been confirmed as a boy,” Scott said.  “I expect he’ll be my first draft pick in the spring of 2022.”

Courthouse Junkies owner Mark Scott, brother of Matt, was understandably excited about being an uncle for the third time.  (The Scott’s sister has two children).

“I’m definitely going to spoil him rotten,” stated Mark.  “And then send him home to his daddy.”

Reactions around the league were uniformly positive and congratulations were bestowed.  Though one owner, putting it all in perspective, noted, “We better make our trades with Matt before the All-Star game or we’ll never get them done!”
