Kathleen and Scott
Scott fell to temptation. He while in a relationship with Kathleen, he became involved with someone else. She, a close friend to Kathleen and Scott at the time, became emotionally and romantically entangled behind closed doors. His involvement with their friend proved to be more than he had bargained for and lead to much misery and heartbreak to all parties directly involved. The hidden relationship drove an emotional wedge between Scott and Kathleen that lead to their split. Kathleen would somewhat forgive Scott after time and continued their relationship but continue to internalize insecurities and resentment. Scott hated the pain he had caused and wished never to hurt a loved one so personally again. He considers it to be one of the largest regrets of his life.

Once again he makes a terrible mistake. He decides it's a good idea to go away to college as a single male. He was feeling at the time that the distance and temptations would be too great for his already bused relationship. He didn't want to once again hurt Kathleen and chooses to separate as a defense mechanism. It seemed good until Scott found himself miles away at school with love for Kathleen still in his heart. He was lost without her voice, vulnerable without her arms, and loathing for her love. He had not realized it until highlighted by time and distance, she had become his emotional rock, she had become his anchor,
she had become a part of his heart and without her he felt a mere fraction of his former self. Scott called and pleaded for a rekindled relationship. Kathleen once again took him back. This time he planed to hold on to her. They would go another two and a half years before problems would once again drive them apart.
As their relationship became more comfortable Scott forgot about the small things that make love what it is. He stopped seeing the need to show Kathleen how much he loved her and began taking her for granted. There once opposites attraction that they had became an emotionally distancing factor. Aggravation grew into bickering and eventually unhappiness. They split threw a mutual understanding that Kathleen needed to find out where she was at what she needed to be happy.
Since their breakup Scott has done some serious personal reflection and realized that hes not the person he thinks he is or the person that he wants to be. Hes sat back and analyzed where his priorities laid and where theyve taken him and where they need to be to take him where he really wants to be. He realized that he needed to do everything in his power to become the man he needs to be to carry on with life successfully and to hopefully regain a lost love.
