Humphrey
Where to find: Highway Village. Talk to him and stay at the inn. When you see the scene with Futch, stay again. Humphrey and Futch will join, but you must complete their quest before they join for good.
Humphrey can kick some major ass. He's got an incredibly high defence and a good attack. For war, put him in a magic unit. He has Heavy Armor. The unit he's in will be able to take 3 damage instead of 2.
You might think of Humphrey as some kinda mute. If you knew what happened to him in the past, you wouldn't blame him. He was part of an ambush that backfired. He watched his entire army get killed. In the end, he had to turn on his commanding officer to get away with his life. He was one of the original members of the Toran Liberation army. He was put in charge of Futch at the request of his friend Joshua, head of the Dragon Knight.
