Where to find: When you're in Muse, after you've been tossed in the slammer, Flik and Viktor will join convoy or your group. Before you meet with Annabelle, walk around the town. When you get to the Rune shop, a women named Elza will talk to you and give you something. Head up and Clive will ask you a question. Pick any answer. Try to leave the town and Elza and Clive will have a duel. Clive will run after her. Next, when you finally get a boat, talk to him in South Window. He'll join. You MUST see the scene in Muse or he won't be there.
This guy kicks some major ass. He's strong and fast, something that I like. He's in my group all the time. He's not very good at magic. At level 60 he's still only got 1 slot and can only cast lvl 3 magic.
A member of the Howling Voice guild. He's hunting for Elza. She killed his best friend and member of the guild. He must now hunt her down and get revenge. Guns are foreign to the people of this world. He's in the first Suikoden as well, seaching for "someone" (who is Elza). He's got the longest sub-quest in the game. Here are the steps to finish it.
First, you've got to be ready to finish the game in under 20 hours. The first part, you must get Clive to Lakewest in under 11 hours (take him with you to Two River, instead of doing all that crap with Chaco, head out of the Kobald Village to Frorest Village. It's in the top left-hand corner of the map). He'll get a letter from Elza telling him to find her in Forest Village. Head to Forest Village next, and head behind the house to the far right. He'll encounter Elza only it's not her.The person will tell you she went to the Matilda kingdom. (Do this when you have to go to Matilda to meet with Gorudo. When Miklitov leaves, go to the inn). Go to the inn and Clive will talk to someone. He'll tell Clive to go to Radat Town. Go there, and head to the resturant. Clive and Elza will have a duel. Clive losses and you have no idea where Elza went. She went to Muse. Now, Muse has been captured so you'll have to wait quite a while. When you free Muse, bring Clive with you. Take him to Jowstons Hill and she will tell him to meet her in a small Highland Village. When you've taken L'Renouille, head to the town nearby. This will be the final showdown. Remember, this has to be done in under 20 hours. When you're in talking scenes, press L1 as fast as you can. Just make sure you don't make stupid choices if they come up. Also, you might not get all the stars.
