She is the vice-strategist. She feels bad about losing Viktor's fort Luca Blight and tells you to find Shu, a former friend. She doesn't join your attack group. She will rearrange your army if you want.
Apple is a former student of Mathieu. For those of you who haven't played the first Suikoden, Mathieu was the strategist for the Toran Army. He died after the final assult. Apple is collecting information on Mathieu's life when she finds out Luca Blight is on the way to Viktor's Fort. She then finds herself aiding a new army, but finds that she's not cut out for the job.
