Mace Windu Custom
I wanted this saber to have a similar style as the Mace Windu Attack of the Clones saber.
There are areas on this saber where i could have put more thought into to make it more like the Mace Windu saber but i decided that i wanted to keep it pretty simple, espesially since i decided that i would make this saber hold a guide stick.
This was my first attempt to have a saber hold a guide stick and although it wasn't perfect it did its job well. I had desinged it to hold a wooden dowel and have two screws hold it in place but they didn't work out the best. Eventually i stumbled on a few hard plastic stick that i was able to use for a guide stick. I wraped the bottom in tape so it slid into the saber and sat snuggly so it wouldn't just pop out.
I also used a new techinque for the belt clip. I used a small d-ring type hanger with only one screw hole in it. I mounted it at the bottom of the saber in between two of the straight grips. |
