emote 's eyes are filled with questions that are having a hard time getting themselves expressed. "So... oh." Comprehension suddenly dawned on Razz, and she wondered... perhaps it's better to let some thoughts alone. The important thing is that she'd get to stay. "When are you going to start, then?" emote cocked her head. "Eager? I didn't think I was... I just wanted to know.... are we going to start today?" emote choose right at that time to sneeze, proving Justin's point. "I guess so," she grinned sheepishly. "Okay... uhm... where can I get spare clothing?" emote blinked. There is, after all, not much else to say. "Aaa, thank you." emote cocked her head again. "Should I wait here or go with you?" emote nodded. "Okay... I'm ready to go now." emote took the scarlet clothings, examining them. "Thank you..." she said, trying to figure out exactly what she's holding. emote , dressed in the scarlet robes given to her by Justin, stood at the doorway, partically radiating uncertainty. The room is otherwise empty, save a large chest and table stacked at the north east corner of the spacious room. Two mages are standing beside the table, pouring over heavy looking volumes of ancient texts. emote dragged her teeth over her bottom lip in a nervous gesture. "Uhm... actually, not really." emote 's features twisted, not in anxiety, but UTTER confusion. "They're gonna take my stuffies and not give it back to me?" emote started, but closed her mouth again. They know what their doing... she think. emote Gareth, a man with a pair of specticles rested on his nose, looked up at Razz. "Aa, Razz. Come here for a second." The elf girl looked uncertain, but obeyed nonetheless. The older man reached out and took her wrist, pulling her sleeves up in a no-nonsense manner, examining her tattoos. emote chewed on her lips as the mages each took one of her arms and examined her tattoos. Gareth, apparantly the one in charge, took her by the face and stared intently at her forehead, while Reize went back to flipping through the ancient texts. Finally, Gareth looked at her in the eyes and asked his first question. "Where else do you have these tattoos, besides your arms and forehead?" The elf girl hesitated before answering. "Uhm... my legs... and, my back..." Gareth nodded at her answer. "Very well." Pushing the texts to one side, much to Reize's protest, Gareth cleared out a portion of the table. "Sit here, pull your robe up." emote obeyed, pulled her robe up to reveal her pale, slender legs. Reize promptly took up a notebook and scribbled with a pencil, duplicating the inscriptions, while Gareth took a closer look at them, comparing them to something in the texts. "Very well, you can let it down now. Now, loosen your robe for me please." Slightly more wary, Razz casted a look at Justin with her deep blue eyes before proceeding. emote nodded, and undid the lacings in front of her collar, loosening the robe. Reaching out, Gareth took the collar at the back, pulling it down to expose her back. emote turned to peer at the volumes that Reize and Gareth are absorbed in, trying to get some idea as to why they're so interested in her tattoos. Of course, she couldn't even discern which language those books were written in, much less read them. So there she sat, swinging her legs, waiting. Finally, Gareth looked up at her again, gesturing to her that she could pull her robe back into its original state. "Am I to understand that you're a gatecrasher?" Razz nodded, sparing a glance at Justin. "I see, this puts a complicated spin on things. Am I also to understand that you have no memories whatsoever of your life as of three years back?" Razz shook her head, confirming Gareth's statment. "I see. What do you know about these tattoos?" Razz shook her head again, indicating that she knew nothing more than he did. "Can you speak?" Gareth asked, exasperated. Startled, Razz spoke up. "Yes..." "Good, then use your voice, shaking and nodding your head can be very misleading at times. Now, the tattoos?" "I don't know..." Gareth sighed, he's certainly not getting any help from the girl. emote turned to looked at Justin again, and Gareth grumbled. "Razz, look at me while I'm speaking to you, it's proper manners. Now, when you took out the students two days ago, what did you feel? Tell me everything you remember." emote nodded. "What sort of sensation was it? Was it painful?" Razz pondered for a moment before answering. "Yes, it was... but... I didn't quite notice it... It was as if I know I was feeling pain, but I wasn't there to feel it... it's strange..." Gareth looked up sternly, first at Razz, then at Reize. Reize met his gaze with an equally serious expression, and went to a different text. "What is it?" Razz asked tentively. "Nothing you need to be concerned with," Gareth replied. "Can you do what it is that you did again?" Razz shook her head. "I, I don't think so..." "Have you ever done it before..." "I don't remember..." "You don't remember... you remember nothing," Gareth muttered, and sighed, exasperated. "Well, can you at least try?" emote pushed herself off the table, took one more look at Justin, and closed her eyes, concentrating. Her eyebrows furrowed as she attempted to summon up whatever she had felt the other day, but other than working up a sweat trying, nothing had happened. She looked anxiously at Gareth and Justin, wondering what to do next. emote 's continuous gaze at Justin did not go unnoticed by Gareth's observant eyes. Turning to Justin, he gestured for him to come. emote looked on as Gareth led Justin to the other side of the room, making it hard to hear the words that are exchanged between them (author's note: it's a biiig room). "Your assistance wasn't required, but that's not the point," Gareth said. "But your presence here seems to reassure the girl. I was given to understand that we are trying to subject her to extreme distress, your presence isn't allowing that to hapen. See how she kept on looking to you for support and confirmation, she'd be much more vulnerable were you absent. By the way, where did you find this girl?" emote is still staring at Justin and Gareth's backs as Gareth went on. "Did you notice anything particularly... special about her? What was she doing when you first saw her?" emote would be whistling a dixie when the author gets tired of her meaningless staring. Gareth nodded in response to Justin's reply. "Which proves my point, she's reassured by your presence, I believe that it's nearly impossible for her to be provoked to the point of anger while you're around. Rumor has it that the stuffed animals that she was trying to obtain from the injured students were given to her by you, is this true?" emote yawned as Gareth moved in for the kill (or not, I just felt like saying that). "Has it occurred to you that the girl has grown attached to you? Thus the emotional stress that helped the manifestation of her powers? I believe my point is clear. What we're doing to the girl might not seem righteous, but allow me to remind you of the possible consequences of powers that are mysterious and uncontrolled. While I would suggest that you be the one to provoke the desired reaction of the girl, due to her dependence on you - I realize that it's not quite possible," Gareth quickly added. "And so, if you can't help, I think it's best that you leave her alone during these studies." emote 's eyes widened, panick filling her eyes as soon as she saw that Justin was leaving her. "Justin-" The girl started, slipping off the table to go after him. Gareth stopped her, however, by stepping between her and the door. "Now, Justin has other businesses to attend to," he patronized the girl, it's hard not to, given her youthful appearance and innocent demeanor. "You can go when we're finished with you here. It won't be too long." emote fidgited as Gareth gave her a once over, why did Justin leave? She doesn't want to be alone here, Gareth doesn't seem to like her very much. "Now, Razz," Gareth went on. "We're not going to do much today, considering that this is merely the first of the many other sessions that will follow. But I do want to confirm one thing." He paused, staring into Razz's eyes. "The tattoos, do you think there's any possible way of removing them?" emote shook her head. "I never tried," she said, still looking towards the door, hoping that Justin would be back. Reading the girl's mind, Gareth snapped impatiently. "He's not coming back, stop staring at the door. Look at the person who's addressing you! The door is not such an individual!" Reluctantly, the elf girl dragged her line of vision back to the older man. "Now, let us see if we can't do something about these inscriptions." emote 's arms were placed upon the table as Reize prepared the spell of the removal of the inscription (I need sleep). His hands glowed an bright, searing light as they came to cover the tattoos over Razz's forearms. Upon contact, however, Razz hissed in unexpected pain as the spell burned at her flesh. Both Gareth and Reize were surprised by this effect, and Reize quickly removed his hands. Gareth frowned as he inspected the slightly scorched flesh. "How odd... not only is the spell ineffective... but it seems to repell the spell without regard for... hmmm..." Tears of pain filled up in Razz's eyes as she looked up at Gareth, her hands spread into stiff claw-like form due to the pain in her arms. emote 's pained state was apparantly ignored by Gareth as he gestured to Reize, exchanging whispers between themselves. Finally, they seem to come to a conclusion, and Gareth turned to face Razz again. "Well, that's enough for one day. Me and Reize has learned what we need, for now. Dismissed." emote covered her burnt arms with the scarlet sleeves of the robe before venturing out. She was surprised to see Justin standing right outside the door. emote frowned, she's nearly glowering as she faced Justin. "Why- why did you leave?" She demanded, stuttering in her anger. Signs of betrayal are evident in her eyes as she stared mournfully at Justin. emote stomped her feet and shook her head in denial. "But- but-" she tried to go on, but found herself to be unsure of her own point. After all, Justin hadn't promised to be there for her during the sessions, she merely assumed that he would. So, in truth, he really hadn't done anything wrong... But why does she feel betrayed? "I- you- I thought-" after more futile attempts at finding the source of her distress, Razz gave up and turned away. She stopped for a moment, unsure where she was suppose to go, then remembered the recently- acquired wounds on her forearms. Confused and hurt, she went off to find her way to the healing hall. emote stomped her feet in frustration again. "Thank you!" She replied out of reflex, yet no tone of appreciation could be found in her voice. emote arrived at the healing hall, where she was greeted by cautious looks and an atomsphere that was less than welcoming (as she perceives it). The injured students were still resting in beds reserved for the wounded. They are conscious, but to their credit, they said nothing to Razz. It was under such an atomsphere that Razz received treatment for her arms. emote quickly left the hall after her arms had been properly treated and wrapped in white bandages. Covering her arms with her sleeves again, she turned out the infirmary and nearly walked right into Justin, jumping in fright. emote mistook Justin's displeasure to be directed at her unreasonable outburst, and she tooked down to avoid meeting Justin's eyes. "I'm sorry," she murmured. emote didn't look up as she answered. "For, for getting mad at you, and I agreed, so-" she nodded, unsure as to where the conversation is going. Justin seems to be apologizing, almost, yet his expression and tone said much differently. emote looked confused by Justin's last words. "The point... I should be angry at you because of something I agreed to do?" emote nodded in acceptance, though she had no idea what Justin was talking about. "Okay," she replied, as she always does. emote paused before opening her mouth again, but stopped as she saw other people passing by them. "Can we go outside?"
