My name is Ray Yang. I was born on January 4th, 1949 in Hong Kong. I was educated in England at Prebendal School in Chichester, and at Dean Close School in Cheltenham. In the US I attended Creighton University in Omaha, where I recieved a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I am married to Grazia Candiano Yang on April 10th, 2009 at the Goldcoast Ballroom. I have an incredible son, Simon who graduates from Wake Forrest University with a Masters in Management.
I a bit of a mutt from a ethnic standpoint. Chinese, English, Welsh, French influences in me to some degree or another.
I'm retired and will be untill I get bored. I have not been bored enough to think about getting a job for the last several years.
I worked for the American Bank of Hollywood for most of my life, as a Director and as Vice President of Information Systems, untill American was purchased by Wachovia Bank.
I am currently involved with two Not for Profit Organizations, the Greater Hollywood YMCA where I served on the Board of Directors and I am a member of the South Florida Swing Dance Society . In the past I have served as President of the Swing Club and the Hollywood YMCA in 1996.
I love to dance, and especially Swing Dancing. I also dance Salsa, Two Step, Ballroom.
I also enjoy Computers, Photography, the Beach, Traveling, Sailing and Powerboating.
I have been travelling quite a bit. In 2000 I travelled to Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand. Then to Italy, Greece and Turkey on Holland America's ship the Noordam with my son Simon. 2001 I visited England and spent time with my family there, and went on a Cruise with Simon to Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Denmark and Sweden and NCL's Norwegian Dream.
In the Summer of 2002 I visited my parents in Hong Kong and cruised to Vietnam on on the Super Star Leo with a some of my family.
In 2003 I visited 10 colleges in 10 days up and down the East Coast with my son and spent Christmas with my family in Hong Kong.
In 2004 I went to Italy with my girlfriend Grazia in the spring and cruised the Yangtzee River from Shanghai to Chongqing on Victoria Cruises.
In 2005 was in Modica, Sicily visiting with Grazia's family, and enjoyed the wonderfull scenery and foods of Sicily.
I typically also make weekend trips every couple of months to attend swing dance weekends. I normally go to Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Tampa, Avon Park, New Orleans, Orlando and Atlanta.
