The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has netted its first top level
fugitive as a result of tips that was sent to them via their world wide
web site.
After viewing Leslie Isben Rogge's photo featured at the FBI's home page, an informant in Guatemala notified authorities that the escaped bank robber was living in the country. This has led to a massive man hunt for the Rogge who then turn himself in after learning that the Guatemalan National Police and U.S. Diplomatic Security forces were on his tail.
Rogge surrendered at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City, and was later flown to Miami, where he faces charges of bank robbery, interstate transport of stolen property and wire fraud.
