| I'm not completely certain about the origins of Chinese Muslim cuisine. While Chinese Muslims are primarily found in Western China, they can also be found in places like Indonesia. This type of restaurant is difficult to find in the San Gabriel Valley. | ||||||||
| Suggestions | ||||||||
| 1) Don't order sweet and sour pork. Muslim restaurants don't serve pork. But they do serve lamb. 2) If the menu has some type of sesame bread, you should try it. They're large, flat and round like a pizza crust but about 1.5 inches thick. I've had them in only two restaurants, but they were both very good. Ask the wait staff about the size of the order to see if it is enough for your party. |
