Rules
Disclaimer: Most of these really are not rules, more of the process that will occur when there is a dispute.
1. BE ACTIVE OR BE BOOTED!!
2. The initial drafts in each league will be based upon the previous years final standings. The owners will draft in reverse order of how they finished followed by any new members (e.g. "rookies"). The order in which the rookies will pick will be randomly chosen by the commish. The draft will be followed by a free agent draft of approximately 3-4 rounds depending on the size of the league and the amount of time remaining until the season starts. A free-for-all will be held to give owners a chance at any remaining free agents.
3. In the event that any member should feel compelled to quit during the season, the commish will make minor lineup adjustments so as not to drastically alter the final standings, if possible.
4. Any member who consistently finishes near the bottom of the standings will be subject to dismissal. The main factor that will be considered when making this decision will be the activeness of the owner. Furthermore, any owner that is constantly complaining and causing trouble is also subject to dismissal.
5. will be booted. This league was designed to promote league activity and competitiveness when playing fantasy sports. We are here to have fun.
6. A Coach of the Year (COY) will be awarded once a year upon the conclusion of the basketball & hockey regular seasons. Standings from all leagues will be kept track of on this website and then used to determine the COY. The COY will awarded based upon the manager's average finish, number of league victories, and other factors as may arise during the course of the year. However, regardless of the standings, if you are not active, you will not even be considered in the COY determination. Participation in special leagues (i.e. not one of the big four) is optional. However, participation shows activeness and will be used as a factor when determining a close Coach of the Year award.
