Dear friends and family, Just a quick note to let you all know that Mary and I and Razor arrived safely in the Bahamas. We are currently staying in the marina here, Harborveiw I believe, and look forward to many pleasant days of sailing and exploring these beautiful islands. The trip across the gulf stream couldn't have gone better. The water was very calm and very smooth. The trip across the Bahama banks was also great. It was some of the clearest water I have ever seen. We left Chubb Cay three days ago and crossed the Northwest Providence channel which was very much like the gulf stream. That crossing was also smooth as glass and we felt very fortunate. The Abacos are really a very special place and we feel privileged to be here. Unfortunately our telephone communications are going to be somewhat limited because BATELCO (Bahamas telephone company) charges $1.00/minute to call the states so if you get a telephone call from us feel very, very privileged. It is late and I am very tired and will write more in a couple of days. Please contact me by e-mail if you want to give Mary or I a message. Until then, Capt. Rick signing off. Rick
