HOME: He had a farm on North Road in Salisbury, NH.
DEATH AND BURIAL: Elmer died at home due to typhoid fever. He was buried
on 1-3-1902, in the Holy Cross Cemetery, west Franklin, NH. Nellie remarried but
is buried with Elmer.
Marguerite Rayno "Maggie"

MARRIAGE: 5-25-1903, St. Paul’s, Franklin, NH.
CHILDREN: Irvin (5-15-1904—7-18-1982)

HOME: They bought a
farm in Gilmanton, NH. And lived there from 1903 to 1921. They moved to Franklin
in 1921. In 1935 they bought a farm in Sanbornton, NH. And lived there the
remainder of their life.
DEATH AND BURIAL: Maggie died at home
2-20-1948 and was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery, West Franklin, NH. (Just behind
her father’s plot) Ben died at home and is buried with his wife son. A trip to
Ben and Maggie’s farm in Gilmanton was a high light for the John Rayno’s. The 15-mile trip took several hours with horse & buggy.
Maggie was a kind lady, who enjoyed her home, her family and her flowers, which showed the loving care that she gave them.
George Oliver Rayno Never Married
HOME: He use to move back and
forth between Franklin and Flaghole, working during fall and winter in Franklin
and returning in spring to help his father on the farm.
DEATH AND BURIAL:
George was a victim of the in-famous 1919 influenza epidemic, just as he was
entering the army during WW1. He died at his parent’s house in Franklin, due
to pneumonia. He was buried 9-30-1919 in the Holy Cross Cemetery, West Franklin
NH. In his parent’s plot. He was a caring, kind-hearted, fun loving person.
Pictures of George is a strong facial resemblance to one of his nephews born
after his death.
Alexina Anna Rayno "Annie"
HUSBAND: Thomas Elwood Sawyer
MARRIAGE:
6-10-1912, St. Paul’s Franklin, NH.
CHILDREN: Thomas Elwood Sawyer
(?-?- ?-1916)
Richard ( ?-?-1917--?)
HOME: Last address was 5 Gillis St,
in Nashua NH. Following Tom’s death Annie lived until 1966-1967,
when she sold
the house and moved into a Nashua Senior Citizens Home, where she lived until
her death.
DEATH AND BURIAL: Both Tom and Annie died and are buried in
Nashua, NH.
Tom and Annie used to entertain Annie’s sister’s families a lot with photographs to show from them. Tom was a member of the famous Sawyers of Dover, NH. ("Sawyer’s Mills").
