Shift Supervisor (Applied Industrial Materials Corp.(AIMCOR) February 2000-Present: Responsible for maintaining the inventory of our sole product, Petrolium Coke. I have personally been
responsible for bringing the Corpus Christi location into the technological age by setting up the inventory management system using Microsoft Excell, and training the local team in maintaining the data. I am also responsible for
any computer related needs our location may have. Some of the duties are, purchase orders, repair orders, employee time cards using SAP, and supervising 15 men. I have been fortunate to have trained my 3 supervisors (2 former) in the use of personal computers.
Customer Service Representative (Spohn Home Care 1996-1999): process walk - in patients with doctors orders (prescription) for Durable Medical Equipment
(D.M.E.). This includes; filling out referral information and calling the
insurance companies for benefits and coverage. At our Spohn South location,
I was responsible for running the entire location. I then dispense the items according to policy.
I also worked for our Service Department and I made
deliveries as needed, set up medical equipment for patients, and trained paitients on the use of various medical devices including Oxygen regulators and Blood Glucose machines. I also processed over the counter cash sales for D.M.E.
Other duties included stocking and maintaining the Customer Service
showroom shelves, fitting rooms, and counters. I was also responsible for taking
incoming phone calls from customers and meeting their needs. I was also
accountable for balancing the cash register periodically according to the rotation. I was also able to maintain a great report with the public in my position with Spohn Hospital.
Patient Transporter (Spohn Hospital 1994-1996):My primary duties included; coordinating with the nurses stations a time to transport patients and the necessary medical equipment that was needed in transport. I picked up the patient and monitored their condition during
transport with my partner’s help. When I was not transporting a patient, I was
responsible for forming the lead blocks used for patient treatments on the Radiation Machines. My duties also included clerical work such
as filing, typing, and general use of computer programs such as Outlook, Excell, Works and
company databases for patient information. I was also able to maintain a great report with the public in my position with Spohn Hospital.
Emergency Medical Tech. (Medi-Van Ambulance 1991-1996):
As an E.M.T. It was my responsibility to monitor patients vital signs, ( blood pressure, heart rate
respirations, etc.) from the initial contact with the patient until arriving at the proper medical facility. I filled out run sheets, and
kept proper records of all transports by utilizing the company's computer databases. It was a part of my duty while serving as a medic to provide the highest standard of care to every patient under my supervision from my initial contact until I released my patient to a professional of the same level of training or higher.
