my photo 4 kb I live in the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains in a log home with my husband Leo, our two cats and two dogs. I moved here in 1998 by way of Gallupville, NY, by way of Vermont, by way of Massachusetts, by way of NYC. I love where I live up here in the woods in Colorado, working from home as a medical transcriptionist, specializing in psychiatry. It's a rural lifestyle which includes trekking 2.5 miles a day with my dogs. It presents some unique challenges, but it's a beautiful place to live. I grew up right on the ocean, though, and I DO miss it, as well as friends and family. All I can say is, the internet and email is a wonderful thing!

Some of my hobbies are reading; cooking; pretending I can sew; trying to get my butt to the gym, writing and reading poetry, particularly haiku; noodling around with my camera; checking out the occasional art exhibit; surfing the web, eBaying, and figuring out stuff on the computer (like how to make web pages). I love Victoriana, Monty Python, rhinestones and other sparkly things, watching the birds at my feeder, being exceedingly silly, dancing, singing, all kinds of movies, and concerts, especially Dave Matthews Band. Other interests include women's issues; health, nutrition, and fitness; healing sound and zen buddhism. Oh, and let's not forget my lifelong passion: raising and breeding my prize, thoroughbred dust bunnies!

Having just turned 40 in 2001, we're currently trying to figure out if we're going be adding a little Diaz to the household. Stranger things have happened! Besides, it would give me a great reason to add a baby page to my site :)

Well, we are no longer deliberating. We found out we're pregnant on 03/07/02. No more 2.5 miles in our treacherous terrain, either. I've switched to the nice, safe, predictable Nordic Track over the dogs' constant pulling and yanking.

Due date 11/05. I've already started on the baby page :)
