| 2000-2001 Portland Trail Blazers |
| This was the season what should be the season for the championship. The Lakers, the team wich eliminated the Blazers in the Western Conference Finals last year, wasn't playing well, and the two superstars, Shaq and Kobe, had little fights. Alright, the sixers were dominating in the first half of the season, but the Blazers aquired several good players. Shawn Kemp, Rod Strickland, and Bonzi Wells began play like a star. But what happened. Greg had first of all the worst season (statisticly) of his career. And, the end of the season something weird happened. Shawn Kemp was set on the injury list, because of drug problems. Another player less. But that wasn't the worst, o no. The Blazers moved from the 4th to the 7th place in the West. A team what should be the 4th in the League... PLUS the Blazers were eliminated in the first round of the play-offs. Not eliminated, but swept, by the Lakers: 3-0. Greg only played 8.5 minutes per game in the series, and the Lakers won the championship. |
