Raymond
Hitchings is an Artist & Designer living
in Limerick. He pursued Design at (NCAD National College of
Art & Design), and followed this with a Masters degree
in Multimedia. Subsequent to this he persued Teaching (Education)
at the University of Cambridge. He has also combined teaching
& lecturing with his Art over the last number of years
and is presently about to pursue further studies in Art. A
number of his paintings were recently short-listed for having
"excellent visual merit" by RTE 2007. His current
interests and influences include both Abstract and Cubist
Art (as applied to Modern Irish Symbolism)

At present the artist is concentrating on
three different themes or styles within his paintings. These
are 1: Abstract Compositions using montage and mixed media
, 2: Montage based triptyches and 3: Dancer compositions.
The artist currently teaches / lectures (And has
