Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known,
that
anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help,
or sought thy
intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, we
fly unto thee
O Virgin of Virgins, our Mother;
to thee we come,
before thee we kneel, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word,
Incarnate, despise not our petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer us.

"Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary," O
Holy Mother Mary, you graciously gave yourself freely to God when visited by
Gabriel, now I seek that you will also be gracious to me in my time of need.
"that never was it known," I know that I can
depend upon you to pray for me when I seek the will of your Son Jesus Christ.
"that anyone who fled to thy protection," Whenever
anyone asks you a favor in the name of your Son you are always ready to intercede.
"implored thy help, or sought thy intercession,"
"was left unaided." Your intercession is always
fruitful for the benefit of whoever asks for your prayers.
"Inspired by this confidence," Your consistency
inspires faith.
"we fly unto thee O Virgin of virgins, our Mother." As
a mother cares for her children, you have always cared for us as children of
God. This is why I always come to you.
"to thee we come, before thee we kneel, sinful and sorrowful." Though
I am a sinner of the worst kind, I wish that I was not. I know the things I
ought to do but my human nature struggles with my conscience to convince me to
do the things I ought not to do. I am sorry for my failings and want
desperately to do better in the future. Pray for me that I may gain help
and courage to live as a reflection of my Savior, your Son Jesus.
"O Mother of the Word, Incarnate," The WORD has been
made flesh in you to dwell amongst us. It is your Son from whom we seek
these favors.
"despise not our petitions," What I ask for in His name
I pray is also in His will; think favorably on my petitions that they may be
pleasing to your Son Jesus.
"but in your mercy, hear and answer us." Intercede for
us we pray for we know you are in God's favor.
