was born and raised in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada.
Music was always on in the house, either on the Radio/Record Player/ or on TV.
Ray's early "Roots" come from his Mom and Dad's record collection, Which contained Classics like..... Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Tommy Roe, Rolling Stones, Herman's Hermits and many, many more.
Ray has been the front-man or leader for several groups over the years, such as....
Tumlin' Hearts, Legacy, Tight Squeeze, Junkett and RJ and the Boys.
Ray continues as front man for R J and the Boys.
One might ask why this group then???
Ray started this group to fill in for RJ and the Boys when Holidays or other events take one of the Boys away from doing a live show.
Ray also writes a lot of music, Some Country, Some Rock, Even Pop and Rockabilly make it into the vast mix of sounds and styles that make up a CD or Show by Ray.
You might have even heard Ray Or "RJ" on the radio?
Music written/co-written by Ray or recorded by the Bands he has worked with have received radio play around the globe.
The Ray McGregor Band is a mix of all the bands Ray has played in over the years and borrows from all forms of music. We are sure you'll come away amazed by Ray and his band.
