Likened to a wheat field sowed with cockle

Matthew 13:24-30. Another parable he proposed to them, saying: The
kingdom of heaven is likened to a man that sowed good seed in his
field. But while men were asleep, his enemy came and oversowed
cockle among the wheat and went his way. And when the blade
was sprung up, and had brought forth fruit, then appeared also the
cockle. And the servants of the good man of the house coming said
to him. Sir, didst thou not sow good seed in thy field? Whence then
hath it cockle? And he said to them: An enemy hath done this. And
the servants said to him: Wilt thou that we go and gather it up? And
he said: No, lest perhaps gathering up the cockle, you root up the
wheat also together with it. Suffer both to grow until the harvest,
and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers: Gather up
first the cockle, and bind it into bundles to burn, but the wheat
gather ye into my barn.

Likened to a mustard seed

Matthew 13:31-32. Another parable he proposed unto them, saying:
The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a
man took and sowed in his field. Which is the least indeed of all
seeds; but when it is grown up, it is greater than all herbs, and
becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come, and dwell in the
branches thereof
. (Also Mark 4:30-32 and Luke 13:18-19.)

Likened to leaven

Matthew 13:33. Another parable he spoke to them: The kingdom of
heaven is like to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three
measures of meal, until the whole was leavened
.
(Also Luke 13:20-21.)

Likened to treasure

Matthew 13:44. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hidden
in a field. Which a man having found, hid it, and for joy thereof
goeth, and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field
.

Matthew 13:45-46. Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a merchant
seeking good pearls. Who when he had found one pearl of great
price, went his way, and sold all that he had, and bought it
.

Likened to a net cast into the sea

Matthew 13:47-50. Again the kingdom of heaven is like to a net cast
into the sea, and gathering together of all kinds of fishes. Which,
when it was filled, they drew out, and sitting by the shore, they
chose out the good into vessels, but the bad they cast forth. So shall
it be at the end of the world. The angels shall go out, and shall
separate the wicked from among the just. And shall cast them into
the furnace of fire: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth
.

No one knows when it will come

Matthew 25:1-13. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten
virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and
the bride. And five of them were foolish and five wise. But the five
foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them. But the
wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps. And the bridegroom
tarrying, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a
cry made: Behold the bridegroom cometh. Go ye forth to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the
foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone
out. The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough
for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell and buy for
yourselves. Now whilst they went to buy the bridegroom came: and
they that were ready went in with him to the marriage. And the door
was shut. But at last came also the other virgins, saying: Lord, Lord,
open to us. But he answering said: Amen I say to you, I know you
not. Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour
.

Is not of this world

John 18:36. Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my
kingdom were of this world, my servants would certainly strive that I
should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not
from hence
.

Children of the kingdom of heaven

Matthew 19:14. But Jesus said to them: Suffer the little children, and
forbid them not to come to me: for the kingdom of heaven is for such
.

Is justice, peace and joy

Romans 14:17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink: but
justice and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
