Genesis 3:15. I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and
thy seed and her seed: she shall crush thy head, and thou shalt lie in
wait for her heel.
Is to be brought to all the world
Isaias 55:5. Behold thou shalt call a nation, which thou knewest not:
and the nations that knew not thee shall run to thee, because of the
Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, for he hath glorified
thee.
Mark 16:15. And he said to them: Go ye into the whole world and
preach the gospel to every creature.
Luke 2:10. And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring
you good tidings of great joy that shall be to all the people:
Is relief for the weary, humble and oppressed
Isaias 61:1. The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord hath
anointed me: he hath sent me to preach to the meek, to heal the
contrite of heart, and to preach a release to the captives, and
deliverance to them that are shut up.
Matthew 11:28. Come to me all you that labor and are burdened, and
I will refresh you.
Jesus is the Gospel
Matthew 1:21. And she shall bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his
name Jesus. For he shall save his people from their sins.
Is a gift of grace
John 8:12. Again therefore, Jesus spoke to: them, saying: I am the
light of the world. He that followeth me walketh not in darkness, but
shall have the light of life.
Is the way to salvation
John 10:9. I am the door. By me, if any man enter in, he shall be
saved: and he shall go in and go out, and shall find pastures.
Is not to be ashamed of
Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel. For it is the power
of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first
and to the Greek.
2 Timothy 1:8. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our
Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but labour with the gospel, according
to the power of God.
Is the manifestation of God's justice
Romans 3:21, 24. But now, without the law, the justice of God is
made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets...Being
justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus,
Romans 8:3. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak
through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh and of sin, hath condemned sin in the flesh.
