CONFESSION
The church has the power to forgive sins.
Matthew 18:18 (Jesus is speaking to his disciples.) "Amen I say
to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound
also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall
be loosed also in heaven."
John 20:23 (Jesus is speaking to the apostles) "Whose sins you
shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall
retain, they are retained."
If we confess our sins, we will be forgiven.
1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity."
