Children are to honor and obey their parents.
Exodus 20:12 "Honour thy father and thy mother, that thou mayest
be longlived upon the land which the Lord thy God will give
thee."
Ephesians 6:1 "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this
is just."
Children should accept instruction from their parents.
Proverbs 13:1 "A wise son heareth the doctrine of his father:
but he that is a scorner, heareth not when he is reproved."
