Chapter 1 How do you do? �Come on, wake up!� The same Digimon that was sitting on Tai�s tummy was trying to wake him up. Tai moaned a little and opened his eyes only to see even bigger ones staring at him. Tai began to shudder. And then laugh a little laugh of insanity. �Hmm, hmm, hmm� Ha!.. HA, HA!� Hahahahahahah!� Tai began to smack himself in the head while smiling a wide grin with blood shot eyes. The little Digimon hopped off of Tai�s knee and stared at him. Another Digimon hoped up next to it, �What did you do to that kid?� The Digimon looked at his friend, �I didn�t mean to.� The others jumped up and watched Tai slip into madness. Tai just kept singing while hugging his knees and rocking back and fourth. �Ohhhh, where am I?� Some of the Digimon turned and saw Sora beginning to wake up. One of the Digimon that looked like a pink plant jumped over to her, �You have to help your friend, he�s going crazy!� �WHAT?� Sora said, she had accepted that fact that these �Digimon� were real and wanted to know what they were talking about. She looked over and saw Tai and had to muffle one of those quick, high-pitched screams. Sora slowly walked over to Tai, one step at a time. He was a site for sore, stinging, puffy, bleeding eyes. Sora sucked in her gut and prepared to make contact, Tai� Tai?� Tai swung his head straight toward Sora, when he finally snapped out of it, he would have horrible whiplash. Sora smiled a half, forced smile. Tai stared her straight in the eyes. Sora stepped back a few paces. �What did you do to him?� she asked the pink Digimon. �I didn�t mean to!� the Digimon wailed again. Sora walked over, behind Tai and slapped him up side the head. �OWW Jeez. What did you do that for?� Tai screamed at Sora. Sora frowned and put her hands to her hips, �because I don�t think I could�ve taken anymore of your mindless staring!� Tai quickly got to his feet, �if you don�t like it, you don�t have to look!� �Do you even know what you were or should I say insane?� Sora screamed back at him. Tai crossed his arms and shook his index finger back and fourth in an annoying manner, �sorry to disappoint you Sora, but I'm sane!� Sora laughed out loud and then let him have it, �HA HA HA, you idiot! Open your eyes, where the heck are we, what are those?� she yelled pointing at the Digimon that looked like a pink plant. Tai looked at the seven little creatures. He pointed at them, let his head drop and shook it back and fourth, whimpering. Sora let her frown melt in to a smile. For someone whose life is about keeping it real, this must be hard to take. �Oh there, there� she said and put her arms around Tai and let her head rest on his slumped shoulder. �I can�t believe this is happening, but it is isn�t it?� Tai said. �Yes� Sora said softly, �yes it is.� By now, the others were waking up and took the whole Digimon situation about the same as Sora had taken it. The kids huddled together and decided what to do next. �Okay� Matt said, �then its agreed, one of us will go and make contact with the Digimon.� All heads moved their eyes on to Tai. Tai looked at all six pairs and sighed, �fine.� Stepped out in front of the Digimon and took a deep breath and exhaled. �Umm we�re umm kids and� where are we?� �Your in the Digital World� said one of the seven little �Digimon.� Mimi stepped forward. �Digital World?� �Yes, isn�t it pretty,� says one of the Digimon. It looked like a small plant sprout with no roots, just four little feet. This little Digimon wasn�t shy �I�m Tanemon, nice to meet you umm� err--.� �- -Its Mimi and I�m glad to meet you too!� Mimi said with her trademark smile. After this the others went to meet the Digimon. They each go to a different Digimon, perhaps by fait and introduced themselves knowing now they were in the presence of friends. Tai met the first Digimon that spoke to them, his name was Koromon, who was pink and had no feet, but he did have teeth! Matt sat down in front of a Digimon named Tsnomon. Tsunomon was orange with no feet and had one slender horn on the top center of its head. Matt himself wore a forest green turtle neck with no selves and a navy blue pair of slacks. Sora found herself in front a another Digimon, Yokomon, she was like a plant sprout but was pink, had uncountable little feet, and a head of blue leafs. Sora herself was dressed in a zip up yellow shirt pair of black cargo pants and a blue shaded helmet. Izzy found a Digimon that looked almost completely different from the rest. Motimon looked like it was wearing the classic sheet ghost costume, only it was pink, its eyes were wide and clear (it didn�t look like holes were cut out for them), and unlike the other Digimon he had arms, short ones at that. Motimon (like the other Digimon to their new friends) took an immediate liking to the boy in the orange T-shirt and red shorts. Mimi was interested about her new surroundings, perhaps there was a digital shopping mall Tanemon may know about? Joe thought he was ready for anything with his first aid, extra food, and a whole other outfit for any unpredictable weather (like a snow storm in summer) but he wasn�t ready for Digimon and that scared him. Joe�s outfit consisted of a button up shirt, a pair of khaki shorts, and a pair of glasses. He was having a very hard time excepting the fact that a so-called Digimon was trying to talk to him. Bukamon resembled a seal in a way, because he had two back feet and two front fins. He had a tuff of purple hair at the top of his head, right above his big round eyes. Even with his charming looks, Bukamon was still having a hard time convincing Joe he was a friend and no longer a stranger. Lastly T.K. the youngest of the seven digi-castaways was already great friends with Tokomon! T.K. was dressed in a sporty green shirt with a round hat and a pair of green shorts to match. Tokomon was a Marshmallow shaped Digimon with four very tiny feet, like black eyes and two little sharp teeth. The two indulged in chitchat about each other. After meeting the Digimon the kids got to now each other a little better saying stuff like �do you think we�ll live though this?� and �I think mines the cutest. Now all friends, the kids asked the Digimon if they knew a way they could get home, but unfortunately they did not. The noble group of Digimon volunteered to help the kids navigate their way though the Digital World in their search for an exit. Tai took it among himself to lead the group and everybody was happy (almost everybody was happy) to follow his leadership. But all did not go smoothly for long. Another Digimon attacked the group, only this Digimon was much bigger, this Digimon was at champion level! This Digimon was none other then Kawagamon, A huge Digimon with pincers that were even bigger then itself! The seven Digimon were only In-Training, therefore the kids were placed in GREAT DANGER! Then the strange little device they received at camp started shaking and the same beam of light as before spread though the valley and the good Digimon began to�DIGIVOLVE! It was a wondrous site to behold, one by one the Digital monsters began to change shape. Koromon became Agumon, an orange dinosaur like Digimon. Tsunomon became Gabumon, a dog like Digimon. Yokomon became Biyomon, a pink bird like Digimon. Motimon became Tentomon, a red insect like Digimon. Tanemon became Palmon, a plant like Digimon. Bukamon became Gomamon, a seal like Digimon. Finally, Tokomon became Patamon, a strange orange mammal like Digimon. If meeting Digimon wasn�t strange enough, Digivolving really took the kids very much by surprise! Now in their Rookie forms the Digimon were now ready to do battle with the evil Kawagamon. Agumon used his PEPPER BREATH to show Kawagamon they mean business! Gabumon used his BLUE BLASTER to show him he wasn�t going to hurt Matt. Biyomon used her SPIRAL TWISTER to blow the evil Digimon away! Tentomon used his SUPER SHOCKER to give him a real blast! Palmon used her POSIN IVY to give the evil Digimon a real sting as a warning to stay away from Mimi! Gomamon used his MARCHING FISHES to show Joe he was the Digimon for the job! Patamon used his BOOM BUBBLE to give Kawagamon a real headache! Together the Rookie Digimon successfully defeated the evil champion level Digimon and proved what power they all shared deep inside� and leaving their new friends speechless. |
