Chapter 8 The glacial lights "Oh boy its even too cold for me out here". FRIGIMON (a snowman digimon) was walking down an uncharted path with a foldaway chair, a cooler and a king-size blanket. He continued walking down the frozen wasteland, that seemed to lead to no where, but Frigimon knew the area better then any other living being. I hope I dont miss the- -WHOA! Frigimon tripped over something in the snow. Uh, what in the Digiworld was that? Frigimon stood back up on his feet and eyed the hazard area. He didnt see anything. He leaned down and pushed some of the snow away. OH MY- - Frigimon found a Digimon and a young boy, probably only fourteen years old, buried in the freezing snow. They were both Oh no I wonder how this happened? Frigimon picked them both up out of the snow and set them on his blanket. He looked around to see if there were any other unfortunate victims, but there were none, just a bed. Come to think about it, yesterday I saw another flying bed crash on a neighboring island I wonder if anyone on that bed survived He looked down at the victims his island had claimed. It was sad, but the cold truth was that the tundra would claim any soul that ventured in to the polar ice with out the proper equipment. Frigimon wondered what he should do. It was hard to think because he couldnt stop that little nagging in his heart that seemed to say check again. He knew that the little feelings that refuse to go away often lead to destiny. He had felt a little feeling before that told him to take this path, the path that led him to the frozen Digimon and boy. He looked at the boy, his eyes were closed, his lips were blue, it just wasnt looking good for that boy. Frigimon didnt know why he was wasting his time, but he put his ear to the boys chest, there was nothing, just a heartbeat OH MY- - Frigimon rushed over to the Digimon, its heart was beating too! Agumon was feeling alive. He slowly sat up and looked around. He saw ice all around him, a large snow Digimon was sitting in a foldaway chair, and Tai was laying near him, he was okay, just unconscious. Youre okay! How do you feel? Agumon looked up at the Digimon in the chair. He recognized him as Frigimon. Im okay Frigimon, but He looked down at Tai. Hell be okay, hes just sleeping Frigimon said. I know, but still Agumon said. He just didnt like seeing his friend in such a sorry state. Uh Tai opened his eyes, he saw Agumon starring strait at him. Agumon, youre alive! So are you Tai! They gave each other a great big hug. Im so glad you both made it, if I hadnt taken path #234 you might not of made it. Tai looked up at Frigimon. Thanks Thats Frigimon, a giant snow Digimon whose attack is the SUB ZERO ICE PUNCH. Agumon explained. Oh, then thanks Frigimon! Tai said. Then he looked around at his surroundings. So what are we doing way out here? After I found out you were alive, I took you with me to this area. Frigimon said. Why Tai asked. Oh, I cant miss the GLACIAL LIGHTS! Tai was getting a little fed up with not knowing anything about his surroundings. What are the Glacial Lights? Wait and see, itll only be another minute or two, so in the meanwhile have a soda. Frigimon reached in to his cooler and tossed two cans of soda to Agumon and Tai. Tai was a little cautious to drink a soda from the Digital World, but it was delicious! Tai was really ready to get moving but he decided to wait a few more minutes to see the lights Frigimon was babbling about. The minutes passed rather quickly. Now Frigimon said. Watch! Bright lights of all colors appeared over the giant ice wall they were siting in front of. The lights where in long stripes all over the whole ice wall, they moved and over lapped each other in a mesmerizing sequence. Agumon had heard of these lights before, but had never seen them. Tai just watched. He looked behind him to see where the lights were coming from, but he couldnt see anything. He didnt really want to see where they coming from some things were to beautiful for explanation. The three sat there for hours and hours and no one said a thing, not even Tai. He never made a sound. It was a fresh new morning, the sun was in the sky and Tai, Agumon, and Frigimon were strolling down the path Frigimon had taken the night before. Frigimon had found Tais bag in the snow, so Tai was able to change back in to his original outfit. As they were walking, Tai noticed his bed, which was almost completely submerged in snow. Frigimon you didnt noticed any other kids on this island did you? No but I did see another bed crash on an island next to this one Frigimon said. Great! Then Agumon and I have to go there. Tai said. How are you going to get across the water, its even to cold for me. Frigimon said. Tai didnt say anything back. They kept walking and finally reached the shore of the island, and they sat and thought about what to do. Agumon thought of something that might work. Frigimon, what about your Sub Zero Ice Punch? Wouldnt that freeze the water? Lets see. Frigimon punched at the water. SUB ZERO ICE PUNCH! It worked, it froze the water for a short distance. Hop on Frigimon said as he leaned down. Tai and Agumon each climbed up on one of Frigimons shoulders. Frigimon ran to where his ice trail stopped and used Sub Zero Ice Punch again. He repeated this process until they reached the island he had been talking about. Is there one of Tai and Agumons friends there, they could only hope. |
