Hatha Yoga was the first healing discipline
I tried in 1970. I was pregnant with my second child, but didn't know it.
I smoked about a pack of cigarettes a day until I got into fully practicing
Yoga everyday. All of a sudden, I had no desire for them. I unconsciously
cut down to 3 cigarettes a day. Of course, as soon as I found out I was pregnant,
I quit completely (at least for the first three months (we didn't know then
how harmful it could be). But, everything turned out fine, and Kimberly was
my most gentle child -- more like myself than my other two daughters, who
are just as wonderful and beautiful. From these three Everyday Angels, I've
been blessed with twelve healthy, happy, lovely grandchildren.
I'm beginning to study Kundalina Yoga, now. It gets more into the energy of Ki that is the Life Force that flows through us all. By doing these exercises, the energy is directed up through the seven spiritual centers or Chakras, thereby, spiritualizing the physical senses. It allows us to learn to control the energy and use it for healing or whatever we desire.
