Astral Projection and the Astral Plane

In a Llewellyn survey taken in 1993, 63% of the people polled, said they successfully astral traveled on a regular basis. Those who scoff at the existence of the Astral, can prove it to themselves very easily, by simply doing a few mental exercises, relaxation meditations, and trying it for themselves.

The Astral Plane exists in a dimension that vibrates at a higher rate then the physical, making it invisible to the physical eye. However, it occupies the same space as the physical world and each of us enters it each time our physical body sleeps.

It actually contains multiple levels, each level gently merging into the one above it, each one becoming less dense vibrating to higher frequencies. It's inhabitants are the recently deceased, astral bodies of travellers, nature spirits, and intities or thoughtforms created from strong human thoughts. On the higher levels dwell the deity archetypes, Master Teachers, and spiritual guides.

It can be a meeting place for astral lovers, a way to travel anywhere in the Universe for free, the means to discover your true inner being; however, the ultimate goal of Astral travel or projection should be for spiritual enlightenment and growth. _{Ref: Astral Love by D.J. Conway}

While taking a course in Astral Projection at the Gnosis Center in California, I was able to consciously leave my body, experience OBE, three times after just a few weeks of practice. The amount of time it takes you to get there is not important, some people can do it immediately, some it may take longer. Below are my notes from that seminar. They may not make a lot of sense to you, but until I get enormous amounts of time on my hands to retype them, they will have to suffice.
