I got this fiberglass hoodscoop with the car. It supposedly goes on an L-body, but I can't get it to fit right on an Omni or a Rampage. Maybe it goes to a Charger, I dunno, there isn't one around for me to test fit. On the back the number '5' is written with a circle around it, and a PN P4529194 is also written on the back with marker. I'm thinking that's a Mopar Performance Part but the local dealership was unable to find it. Got any clues? It raises roughly 3" in the back, while the leading edge is raised about 3/8-1/2" above the hood on my GLHS. The wieght is about 5-10 pounds, just a guess.
It does look nice on a Rampage, since the leading edge is raised up a bit it would allow a bit of a ram-air effect coming from the front while allowing all the hot air from underhood to escape if it was sectioned correctly on the bottom side. |
