455 c.i. of pure Buick power!  Still pushes the car to a 9 sec 0-60, 2.73:1 rear cogs, 1200 rpm stall converter, and 4400 pounds of beast notwithstanding.  3.73 gearset, 2k converter, oh that would be fun. hehe
The front of the Beast herself.  Notice how the buper is a bit bent on the passenger side, that's a result of the final tow she had with the old motor, damn snowdrifts.
Probably wouldn't think it, but this side has taken abuse from one car (totalled upon impact) six railroad ties, and those fence posts.  Notice how the fender is pushed up in the back, that's all the ties did to the car, suprising isn't it? :o)
This is the nasty side a Cutlass Ciera going 35 will do this when it hits you on dry pavement.  It's been pounded out already, the dent was about 6-8 inches deep when it happened.
Notice the dent to the left of the lisence plate?  That's where it kissed a phone poll.  These pics just go to show how resilient this car really is; just like a Timex, but better. I kinda like the custom label (mailbox stickers) on the right side of the trunk. :o)

Well, that's the end of the tour everyone, have a nice day.

'72 Boat
If you've made it this far you must actually be interested, good for you, shame on everyone else who didn't come. hehe :o)  Now I just have to find that July '98 Car Craft magazine, they had a bunch of fun with a '72 Electra like mine in it.  Kinda neat when your overlooked car makes it into a nationally known magazine.  Even though they plastered it with stickers, cut the roof off it and drove her 'till the doors wouldn't shut, took it mudbogging, did shameless burnouts, practiced their welding and did other unmentionables with it.
Back to the Boat's story.   Back to my homepage.
