Never Forgetting.
Sitting here watch the night draw in,
With the past bearing deep down upon my mind,
I am warmed as I have a vision of your love,
That I thought would be mine for all time.
I opened my arms and reached out for you,
But when you smiled I could see your pain,
So here sit with a tear in my eye,Feeling sad I could not help as I whisper your name.
As the sky gets darker and the night gets colder,
I can feel the warmth of you so close yet so far away,
As my journey in life continues not knowing where it leads,
I shall never forget you no matter how far I stray.
I had much love to give,
Did I tell how much you meant to me.
It broke my heart dear dad when you passed away,
My love has never faded as someday you will see.
