| Russ plays rhythm and lead guitar, he plays bass and has been known to plays cross harp style harmonica. Russ maintains he knows 'just enough to get by' with some of the instruments he plays, but due to his recording expertise and engineering ability RAW have a very professional sound. |

| Main Influences: I saw a Muddy Waters on the TV when I was 17, and, musically, it changed my life. I like lots of blues stuff, John Mayall (who inspired my harmonica style), Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, and all kinds of old rock stuff from AC/DC to ZZ Top Currently Listening to: Medicine Hat, John Mayall, Don Henley. |

| Gear? I like fender guitars, I've had a few over the years, I customised some of them, and I built a couple of guitars too. Ampwise I'm not too fussy, for recording I usually plug straight in to the Boss.. We use a Boss 532 multi track recorder, and a Phillips CD recorder, and a mini disc recorder for backing things up on. I started out with Fostex tape based recorders but this digital technology is way better. |
